Tldr. mostly broken, to high gas consumption and a lot of rust.</p> <p><img alt="Old heating system" src="/img/transforming_my_home/heating-system/old_heating_system.png"></p> <h2 id="cleanup">Cleanup</h2> <p>First I disassembled the old heating system and moved that heavy stuff with the help of my family and friends out of the basement. After that I cleaned the walls, where the old heating system was and cleaned the chimney. This house, built in 1932, has seen various renovations over the years. Additionally, the property features a barn.
