The old heating system was a 30 year old gas powered system, that was at the end of its lifetime. Tldr. mostly broken, to high gas consumption and a lot of rust.
First I disassembled the old heating system and moved that heavy stuff with the help of my family and friends out of the basement. After that I cleaned the walls, where the old heating system was and cleaned the chimney. Lastly I removed a bricked-up door with plasterboard, that had a moldly surprise.
In early 2025, I embarked on an exciting journey by acquiring a house close to my parents. This house, built in 1932, has seen various renovations over the years. Additionally, the property features a barn. The following image showcases the house shortly after its completion in 1932.
Fast forward 93 years to 2025, and this is how it looks from the outside.
The overall condition is quite good, but there are several renovations needed before I can move in.

When I acquired my house, the kitchen was nearly empty, with only the green furniture left in the room.
The future design will be much more modern, with simple colors and improved utilization of the small room.
